Superintendent of Schools: Mellissa Mulvey

Welcome to the Indian Lake Central School District. I am honored and privileged to be the Superintendent and Principal of this fantastic district filled with creative and hard-working students, staff, and community members. ILCS prides itself on making our children our priority!

I've lived in the Adirondacks my entire life, and when I began my career nearly two decades ago, right here at ILCS as a PK-12 vocal/general music teacher, I knew there was no place else I'd rather be. I have dedicated my career to helping young people achieve their full potential and prepare for a bright future. I have been committed to creating a culture of excellence in education, focused on student achievement, teacher development, and community engagement. Our small classes, led by nurturing faculty and staff, provide a well-rounded curriculum that prepares students for college, career, and life success. All students can succeed when given the right tools and support, and I work tirelessly to ensure that our school provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can thrive. ILCS offers extra assistance, enrichment opportunities, and electives tailored to student's interests and needs, and juniors and seniors can take many college credit-bearing classes. In addition, students can participate in a wide range of extracurricular opportunities after school. We also offer an amazing summer program for students entering 1st-8th grades. Despite our physical size, ILCS is huge with opportunity.

I am excited about our school district's opportunities and committed to working tirelessly to ensure our students receive the best possible education for their bright futures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
