ILCS Middle School Students Celebrate Courage at Rock Lake
On Monday, October 21, 2024, ILCS middle school students embarked on a field trip to Rock Lake to celebrate October’s character education trait: Courage. Our special guests, Mr. Andrew Ferrone and Mrs. Leah Ferrone, brought enthusiasm and energy to the day, leading activities focused on being good listeners, trying new things, and becoming better humans.
The entire afternoon was spent without technology—no cell phones in sight. Instead, students worked together, laughed, and enjoyed the beauty of a fall afternoon in the Adirondacks. When asked after the hike, many students shared that they didn’t miss their phones and appreciated the break from distractions!
