Kindness

Indian Lake Central School Community,

We are thrilled to recognize the outstanding students who have exemplified the character trait of kindness this month. These students have not only shown compassion, empathy, and thoughtfulness toward their peers, teachers, and school community, but their actions, whether big or small, have made a significant and lasting impact on those around them, inspiring us all to be better.

Beginning with our youngest students, we recognize:

Pre-K

  • Cole Wonders h

    as been chosen for the kindness award this month because he demonstrates kindness

    every day

    in Pre-K. He helps his friends when needed and speaks kindly about them. During center time, he enjoys working collaboratively with his peers. Cole also performs small but thoughtful acts, such as pushing in chairs for others.

Kindergarten

  • Reagan Federspiel

    has

    been nominated

    for her kindness, empathy, and caring heart. Her thoughtful actions and warm words brighten the classroom every day. Even as she adjusts to becoming a big sister, Reagan has shown helpfulness and compassion.

First Grade

  • Aelish Elkin

    is always kind! She listens to others and is a respectful student, classmate, and friend. Even in challenging situations, Aelish uses kind words and always

    ways to help others. Her kindness makes her a joy

    , and her classmates love playing with her.

Second Grade

  • Lillianna Benton-Sears

    has shown kindness in unique and creative ways, such as drawing pictures, writing notes, and even making origami for her teachers! Her inventive acts of kindness and her willingness to help others whenever she can are truly impressive and appreciated.

    William Feller

    demonstrates kindness by standing up for others, including everyone in activities, and speaking positively about his peers.

Third Grade

  • Natalie Chenier

    spreads kindness through both her words and actions. She eagerly helps classmates, offers encouragement, and reassures friends when they are upset. She also shares small gifts like rocks and stickers to show she cares. Natalie makes our classroom a kinder place every day.

  • Emmy Brewster

    consistently demonstrates kindness by assisting her classmates, explaining directions, and taking notes for those in need. Her bright smile and encouraging words uplift others, and she always lends a helping hand to keep the classroom organized. Emmy’s kindness is appreciated every day.

Fourth Grade

  • Declan Quagliana

    always uses kind words and is sensitive to others’ feelings. He is the first to check on a classmate who is upset and helps clean up at the end of the day, regardless of whether the mess is his. Declan is a true friend.

Fifth Grade

  • Her classmates once again nominated Kylee Scott

    for the character trait of kindness. She is known for always being kind, listening respectfully, helping others, and ensuring everyone feels included. Kylee truly believes that kindness always counts!

Sixth Grade

  • Luca Quagliana

    is kind, considerate, and a true friend to his classmates. He always lends a hand, shares a smile, and actively engages in learning. The world could use more Luca Quaglianas!

  • Gavin Scofield

    for embodying kindness in a fun-loving way. He is goofy and enjoys life, but never at anyone else’s expense. His

Seventh Grade

  • Cameron Naubereit

    spreads kindness every day with his contagious smile and upbeat personality. He creates a welcoming atmosphere and is always willing to help teachers and classmates. Cameron is a true kindness rock star!

    is the first to help someone in need or offer support to a friend

Ninth Grade

  • Marissa Chisman

    demonstrates exceptional kindness and patience while working in the kindergarten classroom. She encourages and supports the younger students, comforts them when needed, and celebrates their achievements. Her kindness leaves a lasting impact on both the students and the classroom.

  • Alaina Travis

    lights up every room she enters with her contagious smile. She is thoughtful, encouraging, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her warmth and positivity create a welcoming atmosphere wherever she goes.

We are so proud of all these students for leading with kindness and making our school a better place. We are truly grateful for their efforts and their actions remind us that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. Keep spreading kindness every day!
