At ILCS, kindness is a quality that makes our school community strong, and our students have taken the time to recognize the teachers and staff members who exemplify this trait. While many incredible educators were nominated, one stood out as the overall winner—Mrs. Hoag, Reading Specialist—for her compassion, positivity, and unwavering support for students.

Mrs. Hoag – The Kindness Champion

Described as compassionate, caring, and always uplifting, Mrs. Hoag has left a lasting impact on her students. She creates an inclusive and welcoming space in her classroom, ensuring that every student feels valued and supported. Her soft-spoken encouragement, genuine positivity, and dedication to making learning fun were repeatedly praised. Many students expressed that she is the first person they think of when they hear the word kindness, making her the perfect choice for this recognition.
